Illegitimacy: What Palestine and Spam Have in Common
Historically, Jews have been the scapegoat for corrupt nations, and I can’t say I’m surprised that anti-Semitism is so prominent in America. According to Jewish historian, Rabbi Kalman Packouz, “Jews have experienced more than eighty expulsions from various countries in Europe over a period of 1,700 years… an average of nearly one expulsion every twenty-one years.”
Different people groups have different excuses for persecuting the Jews, and none of them founded in any real truth. Jews have been blamed for global atrocities such as the Bubonic Plague, accused of murdering Christian children for Passover, and slaughtered by Hitler’s army in World War II, despite the media’s attempts to deny or mitigate the atrocities committed during the Holocaust. For example, a Jordanian newspaper refers to it as “a great lie.” However, the United States jumps on the bandwagon when the New York Times prints an article that states, “the number of 6 million [Jews killed during the Holocaust] is exaggerated” and sinisterly remarks, “the Jews are using this issue to blackmail the Germans financially… the Holocaust is protecting Israel.”
A speech by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu addresses the Israeli people regarding the Holocaust and the current threats to Israel that stand by the notion that it was fabricated, particularly Iran, whose president had “spewed his latest anti-Semitic remarks.” Netanyahu holds in his hand a blueprint of the plans for Auschwitz, written by Hitler’s main deputy, and asks the world to remember that 1/3 of the Jewish population was wiped out by the Nazis; survivors still have the numbers inked on their arms: “I say on behalf of my people… have you no shame?”
Muslims lead the charge against the Jews in America and overseas. Former Islamist, Amil Imani, outlines the plight of the Jewish people in history for The American Thinker, asserting that Muslims “adopted scapegoating as an article of faith.” Shariah Law, a comprehensive collection of findings from Team B II, compiles the Islamic threat to America by examining their holy texts and the sayings of the prophet Muhammad. Islamic faith upholds two types of jihad or “struggle”– stealth jihad and action-oriented jihad. The practice of stealth jihad gives the illusion of peace, but this is only a strategic maneuver, not passivity.
164 verses in the Quran refer to the duty of all Muslims to wage holy war against non-believers, and the Quran is not only their holy text, but the “first an foremost” source for the compilation of Sharia Law, “a complete way of [Islamic] life.” It is important to note that these verses are commands taken in context, not stories of violence or figurative language implying something symbolic.
The Obama Administration lacks force when dealing with Iran or anyone dangerous for that matter, even if they will have 20 percent concentration of uranium by next month. Stealth jihad affects American leadership through infiltration, i.e. the Islamic Society of North Ameirca (ISNA), an organization closely, yet somewhat secretly associated with the Muslim Brotherhood. To provide a bit of perspective, former president of the ISNA, Ingrid Matteson, delivered the prayer at Obama’s inauguration. Even liberal Marxist, Tarek Fatah, states, “[the Muslim Brotherhood’s] infiltration is right up to the American White House, but we can’t say that.”
With assurance of peace from Palestinian leaders, American leadership dismisses the threat of the PA, relieved they’re so eager to negotiate. The PA has perfected “negotiation” and indoctrination that they have not only talked us into leaving them alone, but have procured support from Americans as well! Does the liberal, anti-Israel slogan, “FREE PALESTINE” ring a bell? Naturally, Americans think with the media, and our media portrays Israel as the oppressor of the Palestinian people, instead of the truth: the PA and Fatah are oppressing and indoctrinating the Palestinian people.
At the National Religious Broadcasters Convention (NRB), Itamar Marcus of Palestinian Media Watch provided examples of the deceptive Palestinian government’s oppression and hatred for Jews and Christians at the Proclaiming Justice to the Nations (PJTN) event during the conference.
The atrocities implemented internally and encouraged by the PA would shock you, especially the video footage. PA TV teaches children that Israel “took everything” in 1948, suicide terror is “natural,” and that their sole purpose in life is to be “fertilizer for the land of Palestine, to saturate it with their blood.” Further, the Palestinian government broadcasts “Jesus and the prophets were all Muslim.” They glorify terrorism and feature stories of honor-killings and raging anti-Semitism, and we want to try to compromise with them?
Surprisingly, the latest group to take a stand against Israel in America is the Presbyterian Church (USA). 11,000 congregations nationwide are adopting a document called, “Recognition that Israel’s Laws, Policies, and Practices Constitute Apartheid Against the Palestinian People,” which urges the church body to take “appropriate action against the Israeli apartheid state.” The document states that Israel is inflicting “oppressive policies” against the Palestinians. The church clearly has misunderstood what’s actually occurring in the Middle East that mainstream media fails to report.
Perhaps one of the most alarming aspects of our nation drifting from Judeo-Christian values and embracing our enemies is the growing anti-Semitic movement among American youth in general. This kind of activism is rampant on college campuses. Pro-Palestinian groups have built apartheid walls on at least 16 major campuses across the nation designed to mock Israel’s current security system, assert that Israel is occupying Palestinian land (see map below entitled “Lies”), and compare the current Israeli government to Nazi Germany. The walls are a part of Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) led by the Muslim Students Association (MSA), which consists of several events with anti-Israeli speakers who have expressed support for Hamas. A student involved with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Boston University states in reference to the wall, “we got a lot of good reception.”
Though The MSA seems to be just another student activist group “passionate for the justice of oppressed people,” they are a branch of well-known terrorist organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, and not student-led.
The video below by The David Horowitz Freedom Center shows the gravity of the situation and how terrorists use campuses to advocate their anti-Israeli and anti-American message:
Just as the Presbyterian Church used a false series of maps to advocate Palestinian rights, the MSA posts pictures of the same map on their apartheid walls, one that fails to include Israeli-Arab history before Israel’s 1948 independence. This map gives an inaccurate occupation of Palestinian land during that time as well, implying that Israel has had imperialistic tendencies for the past 50 years. This is not the case.
In the early 1920’s, the San Remo Peace Conference gave Great Britain control of Israel and Trans-Jordan. Great Britain proceeded to separate Israel from Trans-Jordan, but then the United Nations stepped in and granted Israel independence. The committee decided to partition the land into an Arab state, a Jewish state, and declare Jerusalem an international city.
Immediately after achieving statehood, Israel witnessed attacks from Syrian, Jordanian, and Egyptian forces in the Six Day War (1967) and the Yom Kippur War (1973). Israel attempted to launch a “diplomatic campaign” with the Arabs, but not surprisingly, this didn’t work. It is a crucial part of their creed to hate and seek to destroy Jews, and Israel has learned from this—hence, their current system of defense.

However, the map of most importance in an illustration to explain why Israel has a right to their land is not a recent one– it is an ancient map that reveals the territory of the Promised Land. In a country where most people claim to be Christians, one would think this would be meaningful. Yet less than 1% of Americans ages 18-23 hold a Biblical worldview, so that’s probably why the sack of Jewish land and way of life is just another unfortunate, societal progression.
CPAC 2012 featured several different panels and speakers related to this issue, recognizing the American duty to stand up for Israel. Christians United For Israel (CUFI) on campus led a panel about Anti-Semitism. The leaders of campus divisions of the organization shared stories of violence and discrimination towards the Jewish people on their campuses. The director of CUFI, Daniel Brog, spoke about the United States’ responsibility to stand by Israel, the only free nation in the Middle East. He said, “if Arabs put down their guns, there would be peace. If Israel put down their guns, there would be no Israel.” It’s important for us to invest in Israel from a militaristic standpoint because they are physically situated right in the middle of the Arab Spring. It’s important for us to defend Israel from a spiritual standpoint because our nation “under God” should strengthen God’s people against terrorism.
