The war on women is real, but which women is it targeting? The far left wants you to believe that this war is perpetrated by the nasty GOP. Google it. Titles like “GOP War on Women,” “Republican War on Women,” and “Stop the War on Women” are all plastered at the top of the search results.
If there was such a raging war, one would hope that this war wouldn’t be discriminatory. After all, what are the liberals sharpening their swords for? Unfortunately, this war is extremely discriminatory. The women’s rights advocates will defend women, but only if you agree with their politics.
Ladies, there is an outright war against conservative women.
Michelle Malkin is one of the many targeted conservative women. She’s been called every name in the book from “slut” to “mashed up bag of meat with lipstick on it.”
Michelle Malkin reminisces about the so-called tolerance from the left:
Remember when MSNBC misogynist Ed Schultz called talk show host Laura Ingraham a “talk slut” for criticizing Obama’s petty beer summit. Or when Playboy published a list of the top 10 conservative women who deserved to be “hate-f**ked.” The article, which was promoted by Anne Schroeder Mullins at Politico.com, included Ingraham, “The View’s” Elisabeth Hasselbeck, former Bush spokeswoman Dana Perino, GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann, and others. Yours truly topped the list with the following description: a “highly f**kable Filipina” and “a regular on Fox News, where her tight body and get-off-my-lawn stare just scream, ‘Do me!’”
Kirsten Powers, a USA Today columnist and a card carrying liberal, admitted to the unfair targeting and scrutiny conservative women face. The media assumes that, if you’re a minority or a woman, you can’t be conservative.
If you’re a conservative woman in the media, you’re doomed. Katherine Timpf, a reporter who works for Campus Reform, had to leave a feminist convention because she wasn’t allowed to participate in the “festival of inclusivity.”
John Hawkins of Right Wing News wrote,
If only liberals hated Al-Qaeda with the same burning passion that they feel towards well known conservative women, the world would be a better place. Just listen to the comments they make about strong, conservative women like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin. They’ve attacked Sarah Palin’s children and Bachmann’s husband, called Coulter a transvestite and used racial slurs against Malkin. It’s just a bottomless well of outright hatred and misogyny. The worst day Hillary Clinton or Sandra Fluke has ever had is like an average Tuesday for one of these women.
In most recent news, A woman who posted the triple threat a picture of her in front of Hobby Lobby carrying a gun and a Chick-Fil-A cup has been scrutinized on social media. She’s been receiving death threats. One user even wished that a jackass would rape her.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there. This week, Twitchy reported that a twitter account was suspended for sending death threats to Dana Loesch, a well known conservative radio host.
Yet again, the feminists are nowhere to be found. They’ll stick up for women who believe that they deserve free birth control, or women who choose to abort their children because having kids is “inconvenient.”
The left preaches tolerance of all people, but they don’t practice what they preach. True tolerance isn’t just putting up with people, it’s agreeing to disagree. Universities are chalk full of liberal leaning professors, and some of my favorite professors are liberals. I disagree with their politics, but I would never stoop so low as to disregard them as humans.
This double standard needs to end. You want to defend the rights of women? Then stick up for all women. We shouldn’t cherry pick the people we want to defend. Let’s end the war on conservative women. Americans are supposed to be for equality, which includes respect for those you disagree with.
