A Polish magazine has incited outrage on the Internet, and among the chattering classes of the West. The publication, called The Network in English, has a cover, featuring a young woman, clothed in the EU Flag, being groped by dark-skinned men’s hands. The article within supposedly covers the outrageous attacks upon European women by Muslim men. The author of the article, Alexander Rybińska, has committed the offense of asking how Europeans feel about this abuse of their young women. The Network goes on to include an article asking why it seems that Europe wants to commit suicide. The opening paragraph of the lead article is as follows

The people of old Europe after the events of New Year’s Eve in Cologne painfully realised the problems arising from the massive influx of immigrants. The first signs that things were going wrong, however, were there a lot earlier. They were still ignored or were minimised in significance in the name of tolerance and political correctness.

A damning statement to say the least. And it’s easy to understand why this magazine is drawing such fire: it has succeeded in making the Left deeply uncomfortable. That’s something you just can’t do.

But the be frank, this controversy isn’t really about a magazine, it’s about the actions of Muslim men. Muslim men have acquired a terrible reputation for themselves in Europe. They are known for their abuse of women in Cologne during New Year’s celebrations, for the grooming of young girls for sex abuse in England, for groping young women in German pools, and more. In an international fit of political correctness, no public authority has the stones to state the problem as being in Muslim men and Islamic culture and religion generally. Instead, the victims are blamed. English sex abuse is committed by “Asian men,” not Muslims. And women in Cologne should stay arms-length from immigrant men, to avoid causing a problem. Our Polish friends have had the bad taste to point to the obvious thread common to such things: Muslims.

The abuse of women by ‘refugees’ is becoming more and more serious. The stabbing of an aid worker, the swamping of European social welfare by unmanageable numbers of Muslims all leads to a wonderful question: why is this happening?

Here’s the short version: Europe has long-since lost any sense of itself.  The confidence of Europe’s earlier days is embarrassing to today’s enlightened inhabitant of Brussels, London or Rome. It’s treatment of colonies and the “Other” is cause for shaming of all of Europe. Whether or not you were involved in the misdeeds in question is irrelevant, so long as you are a member of the victimizing class, nothing you say or do is enough. White guilt, created and exploited by the Left, has worked to undo all the confidence of Western Europe.

For such people, “The West is the great and only guilty party to all the evils of the world,” as French writer Pascal Bruckner tells us. And this guilt means that no matter what happens, we must take the abuse, we deserve it.  Brave men like Douglas Murray have challenged this vile idea, asking, “How long must we have our identity erased for?”

The answer, apparently, is forever. Until we, the guilty parties, are completely ground under the heels of the victorious victim class. We, who have been judged guilty, cannot cry out at injustice, cannot complain of mistreatment or denounce evil when we see it. Our historical sins are so vast that nothing can ever atone for them, except perhaps our own destruction.

And so the cultural and political masters of Europe have elected to sacrifice their nations upon the alter of guilt. Whether a young German girl can safely swim in a public pool is irrelevant to them. The safety of celebrants on New Years’ in Cologne isn’t a problem for them. What matters to them, is making sure that Europe’s new overlords are made to feel comfortable and safe, in a new ‘safe space’ in which no one will ever denounce Islam for what it is, or Muslim men, for the evil that they have done, and will continue to do. Europa is being raped again, and this time not by Zeus, but by the followers of Allah.
