Apparently every man is a contributor to rape culture. It doesn’t matter how great the guy is or what morals he holds. At least, this is what the radical feminist movement at large would have you believe. If you were born with certain anatomical features, you must be a sexist, misogynistic bigot. Men would love nothing more than to see every woman raped or victimized.
Feminist writer Jody Allard took her man-shaming to an all new level when she contributed a piece to Role Reboot. In the post which went live this month, she vilifies her own teenage sons for being a part of rape culture.
Every Man is Not Safe
Allard starts her piece praising her boys for being strong and compassionate children. Boys whom “other parents are glad to meet when their daughters bring them home for dinner.” Despite being children worthy enough to meet the parents, she labels her sons “not safe” just like every other man.
Allard strongly believes that all men are dangerous. Every man, because of his privilege, is capable of rape in her eyes.
“White people aren’t safe, and men aren’t safe, no matter how much I’d like to assure myself that these things aren’t true.”
Allard’s idealized collectivism of rape culture goes so far as to lump her very own children into a category of potential rapists. Despite being “good boys” who were mothered by a left-leaning feminist, they aren’t “safe” simply because of their gender.
Putting Feminism Ahead of Her Children
The Role Reboot article is not the first time Allard took aim at her boys. In 2016 she wrote a piece for the Washington Post in which she criticized them for ignoring the plague of misogyny that affects the male gender.
These articles call Allard’s parenting into question. She claims one of her children is suicidal. Yet, she doesn’t seem to think criticizing him time and again on the national stage is a problem.
“Is it my job as his mother to ensure he feels safe emotionally, no matter what violence he spews….When I confront him with his own sexism, I question whether I’m pushing too hard and leaving him without an emotional safe space in his home.”
The bullying of her sons, both online and off, is nothing less than mental abuse. One can easily argue that Allard cares more about her feminist agenda and perpetuating rape culture than she does about her own sons’ well-being.
