Hillary’s back! The worst candidate perhaps in our political history who couldn’t shake a walking corpse named Bernie Sanders and lost to an orange man is back in the news.
I hope she makes a comeback, I really do. I want her to return to Democratic leadership, so she can continue to screw up the party.
Three Reasons Hillary is Bad for the Democratic Party
First, she’s an awful human being who reflects badly upon her party. The fact that this woman is still a prominent Democrat tells us all we need to know about the Democratic party. It confirms that they value the Clinton name and the power it wields far more than principle.
Second, Hillary Clinton is the poster child for everything that is wrong with the Democratic Party. She is conniving, evil, utterly self-serving, profoundly dishonest and utterly uninspiring. Last year, a YouTube channel on charisma predicted that Trump would win because Trump has charisma, while Hillary is an inspiring as an accounting presentation.
Third, her continued presence shows the Democrats continued contempt for the rule of law. Yes, Trump pardoned Sheriff Joe Arpaio in what was an obvious sop to his base. But, as far as we know, Arpaio isn’t giving Trump money or benefits in return for his pardon. Meanwhile, Hillary has a long history of using her political position to fill her own pockets.
Denial, Not Just a River in Egypt
Hillary is now embarking upon a book tour to sell her new book, “What Happened.” Shouldn’t that be “What Happened, I Was Supposed to be President! Damn you, you sexist America!” Between excerpts from this book and her latest interviews, Hillary is showing that, even though lost to Donald Trump, it’s still not her fault.
She has a lengthy list of people she blames for her loss, so I’ll only touch on a couple.
Clinton complains that Sanders dragged out the nomination:
“And it hurt. You know, to have basically captured the nomination, ending up with more than 4 million votes than he had. And he dragged it out.”
So what you’re saying is that it’s Bernie’s fault he didn’t fall into line behind everyone else? I thought standing by your socialist principles was a good thing if you’re a Democrat? Wait…does Hillary’s identity as a woman trump Sanders’ socialist leanings? I’m confused.
In an interview with her friend Jane Pauley at CBS News, Hillary complained.
“He was quite successful in referencing a nostalgia that would give hope, comfort, settle grievances, for millions of people who were upset about gains that were made by others because—” Clinton said.
“What you’re saying is millions of white people,” Pauley said.
“Millions of white people, yeah,” Clinton replied. “Millions of white people.”
Ah yes, “the white people.” Did we all gang up on you, Hillary? No. Many of us didn’t vote for you because you don’t like us, and we don’t like you.
Money For (Almost) Nothing
You know how when a new book gets released, you can get your book signed and meet the author for free? Not Hillary! Her lust for lucre knows no bounds. At VIP events, a ticket to get a picture with Hillary, a front row seat and a signed book copy: over $2,000. I’ve got a signed copy of David Berlinki’s The Devil’s Delusion, and all it cost me was the courage to speak to him at a conference. Leave it to Hillary to find a way to squeeze every bit of profit from her fan base.
Her vilification of white people and elitist lifestyle explain why Hillary is bad for the Democrats, but good for the Right. She’s so out of touch that she can’t possibly imagine why she wasn’t elected unanimously. Additionally, she credits her own faults to everyone but herself.
If the Democrats act like she does, they’ll become more a party of cities and coasts, continuing to lose power.
For all the Democrats who really want her to go away, I offer my condolences. Trump is an embarrassing mess, but I’ll take his antics over Hillary’s overt corruption any day. And for those of you who hope for a new, better Democratic Party, I’m sorry to say, Clinton’s not going anywhere.
