A black male escort. A wealthy Democratic donor. A dead body. And yet – the media is nearly silent.
In July 2017, Gemmel Moore (26 years old) was found dead in the bathroom of Ed Buck (62 years old).
Interestingly enough, Ed Buck has never been identified by the police as a suspect. So who is Ed Buck?
Ed Buck was originally a Republican in the 1980s until he launched an impeachment effort against Arizona Governor Evan Mecham. As society was much less tolerant of homosexuality then, Buck received a lot of backlash specifically directed at his sexuality. He switched to the Democratic side in 1988, and since then has donated upwards of $250,000,000 to Democratic causes and candidates, including Planned Parenthood, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama.
On July 27, 2017, Gemmel Moore died of a methamphetamine overdose in the home of Ed Buck, and was found naked while male pornography was playing on the television in the background. The death was ruled an accident, and yet, sources report that Buck had a particular fetish for exploiting vulnerable black men and insisting they get high before continuing to other activities.
Gemmel Moore in a diary entry claims he had never touched drugs before meeting Ed Buck.
When I saw the original story over a week ago by The Root, I figured the news would go viral. That simply hasn’t happened. For some reason, I am convinced that had a prominent Republican donor been in a similar situation, casually throwing around the n-word on his personal Facebook page, your classic liberal media outlets would be all over this story and demanding that the donor recipients hand back their money.
I suppose equal reporting is too much to ask for.
