This past weekend, students at Occidental College in Los Angeles placed 2,996 American flags around their campus. These flags were a representation of the 2,996 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the worst terrorist attack in the world. Vandals crushed and threw away every single flag. Students replaced the flags, only to have them destroyed two more times. Once, the vandals even destroyed flags in front of the students who were trying to put them back up. A petition has been circulated calling on Occidental College president Jonathan Veitch to issue “strict and severe discipline” against all those involved. And for good reason: an...Read More

While America celebrated, Baltimore bled 22 people in Baltimore were shot over the long holiday weekend, bringing the total shot in Baltimore this year to 204. That is nearly equal to the total number shot in Baltimore over the whole year of 2014. Three of the victims this weekend included a 4-year-old, a 6-year old and a 61-year-old woman in a wheelchair. They were shot after the assailant left a dice game angry, who then opened fire on an unsuspecting crowd. Just two years ago Russia staged “military exercises” on the Ukrainian that culminated with an invasion and Eastern...Read More

Eerily silent, unwilling to cut short his last vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. In 2008, Senator Obama attacked President Bush for his response to the flooding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina: When the people of New Orleans...Read More
