CPAC 2016: “Reagan is Gone”

This article was written as a part of TCC’s ongoing CPAC 2016 coverage. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and check back regularly with TCC for more coverage! As I sit in the Potomac Room of the Gaylord listening to Dana Loesch, I find myself agreeing with a certain line more than anything I’ve heard so far. Loesch, to sustained applause, said, “Reagan’s gone, and we need to stop chasing his ghost.” This single line sums up the entirety of this primary, and will continue to be relevant far after CPAC 2016. Stop Venerating the Black Panthers

In the latest dumpster-fire of a super bowl half time show, Beyonce and her backup dancers payed tribute to the divisive Black Panthers with themed costumes and gestures. The United States of America has long been regarded as a bastion of freedom, a protector of human rights, and a haven of free speech and civic engagement. The U.S., a...

Common Misconceptions About Guns

As we plunge into 2016, it has become very clear that Obama will use his last year of power to strip Americans of their second amendment rights. Guns have become the chief issue of the Obama administration. During Obama’s teary eyed speech on Tuesday, his social media staff tweeted out a very false statement regarding online gun sales. This article will serve to clear up many recycled democratic talking points about guns. The Gun Show “Loophole” Every time the gun discussion resurfaces, the infamous “gun show loophole” talking point resurfaces with it. The main argument of anti-gun advocates centers...
