Planned Parenthood, an organization that supposedly serves as the defender of a woman’s right to choose, is being exposed as a wholly corrupt body in a recently popularized series of seven videos (with more still to come). Investigations by various groups have turned up more and more and more dirt on Planned Parenthood’s corruption. Florida legislators have launched an investigation into Planned Parenthood, and Tennessee has done the same. The latest video trailer, which was released on Friday, showcases just how dark the content of those videos truly is. While this news is shocking, what is more terrifying is the...Read More

On June 14 of this year, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti signed into law a bill which will raise the minimum wage in the city from $9 to $15 an hour over the next five years. However, this is only the latest in a series of efforts to drastically raise the minimum wage. Last November, San Francisco voted to increase its minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2018. San Diego, Seattle and Chicago have done similar things, all raising their minimum wage rates. Gov. Cuomo of New York State has recommended that the minimum wage in his state...Read More
Has our government begun to worry more about securing its citizens’ emotional well-being than protecting our fundamental rights? If recent developments in the Oregon bakery case are any indicator, then the answer might be “yes.” In 2013, Aaron and Melssia Klein, owners of the bakery Sweet Cakes by Melissa, courteously refused to provide a wedding cake for a lesbian couple, Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer. In response to this case, the Kleins posted a sign in...Read More
When bad things happen, we want someone or something to blame. It helps us come to terms with what has happened and direct our emotions at a tangible target. America, following the recent shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, has placed its blame upon something. No, not evil gun-toting Southern whites (for once), but upon the Confederacy, whose flag the shooter was displaying in Facebook photos. As a result, the Confederate flag is being banned… well, everywhere. South Carolina has considered removing the Stars and Bars from its state capitol. Tedd Starnes notifies us that,...Read More
This Spring, we saw the emergence of “microaggressions” as the newest weapon against freedom of speech and assembly. A microaggression, according to Dr. Derald Sue, is an “everyday slight, putdown, indignity, or invalidation unintentionally directed toward a marginalized group.” Such offenses are generally limited to those committed by whites against everyone else, of course. As a result, the atmosphere on college campuses is becoming increasingly unfriendly towards unpopular speech. Comedians like Chris Rock have ceased to do shows at colleges because the risk of offending someone is so great that it takes the fun out of doing stand-up. At this point,...Read More
