Antifa Attacks Journalist, Media Silent

In a recent protest in Portland, Antifa protestors attacked journalist Andrew Ngo. Ngo isn’t a conservative, he isn’t straight, and he isn’t white. He’s gay, an editor for Quillette, and an independent journalist. He’s covered Antifa in Portland several times before, but this time, things went badly. Physical–And Chemical–Attack In this clip published by the Oregonian, you can see Ngo being attacked by Antifa members at a protest. Ngo was also doused with a “milkshake.” According to Portland police, however, the substance poured on him was actually mixed with quick-setting concrete. They Came for Crowder

Alternative media is a growing concern for the mainstream media. Alternative sources and voices compete openly with legacy media outlets like CNN and MSNBC. These individuals each have audiences that are big enough to rival or exceed the viewership of mainstream sources. What the Alabama Abortion Bill Actually Says

Alabama has been in the news lately. After her sister state Georgia passed a bill greatly restricting when an abortion may be performed, Alabama upped the ante. Georgia’s bill banned abortions after a heartbeat can be detected in a fetus. With some exceptions, Alabama’s bill goes farther. The Overreaction How much farther does the bill go, you may ask? Far enough to force the unfunny Leslie Jones onto SNL in a Handmaid’s Tale outfit, to rant and rage at white male Alabama senators, telling them to kiss “my entire *ss.” Delightful. Staci Fox, president of Planned Parenthood Southeast protested the bill,...

Why Notre Dame Matters

A tragedy has struck Paris. The City of Lights was lit this week by the burning of Notre-Dame de Paris. On Monday morning, a fire stared somewhere amidst the roof and extensive scaffolding put in place to repair the church. The fire lasted some 15 hours, consuming the attic of the church, collapsing the spire, and melting the lead roof. Normally, the burning of a building would not attract much attention. But this Gothic monument is drawing global attention. It is being discussed by all the talking heads, bloggers, pod casters, and commentators. In short, it’s the hot topic for anyone...

Democrats Fail the “Omar Test”

Minnesota’s newest Democrat representative in Congress, Ilhan Omar, has been in a lot of hot water lately. Omar, a Muslim woman from Minneapolis, has a history of anti-Semitic remarks. Unfortunately, when Democrats were put to the test, they utterly failed to condemn her. A History of Comments Last month, Omar was criticized for tweeting in 2012 the following: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel.” Around the same time, Rep. Omar also tweeted that, “It’s all about the Benjamin’s,” in reference to Jewish money in American politics....
