America’s Healthcare Divide Is Over Rights

The latest iteration of a federal health care bill, the Affordable Health Care Act, has passed on a party line vote. Before that, Obamacare passed in 2008, also on a party line vote. And now, as it was then, conservatives and liberals are at each others’ throats over the issue of healthcare. Is this what we’ve come to in America? Everything that passes is done on a party line vote? Are we unable to reach a resolution over anything, let alone healthcare? Trump’s Word on Guns

President Donald Trump is now the first sitting President to address the National Rifle Association since Ronald Reagan in 1983. His speech affirmed his support of gun ownership and Second Amendment rights in the United States. This mode is automatically active, unless you log into YouTube and hit the right buttons to turn it off. Restricted mode blocks “mature” or controversial content, including...

YouTube, Alternative Media, and Why it Matters

The mainstream media is being replaced by alternative media sources–and the people in charge aren’t happy about the change. Once upon a time, the media was something only a few people controlled. There were only a handful of TV networks and news providers. Radio and film were also held in and directed by a few hands. Through these means, a particular message was presented. If you didn’t like it, too bad. Those days are growing more and more distant. Today, the sources available for news and opinions are almost endless: TV, digital newspapers and magazines, YouTube, blogs, and more. Now, any...
